With 20 years of experience operating across Europe and Asia, Intertransauto has joined IRU as its newest member.

Intertransauto is a group of international transport companies providing services such as international cargo transport, freight forwarding and logistics inside the EU, as well as from EU countries to the Commonwealth of Independent States and Asia, including China.

IRU Secretary General Umberto de Pretto said, “We’re pleased to welcome Intertransauto into the IRU family. They’re truly a transcontinental road transport company, bridging the gap between Europe and China.”

“The IRU network will surely benefit from their expertise in international cargo transport, freight forwarding and dangerous goods transport,” he added.

Intertransauto Chairman of the Board Andrei Smoliar said, “It is a great honour and distinction for us to be among the largest and best transport companies from around the world. I believe our contribution to the development of the transport industry will be significant and beneficial to the market.”

“Admission into IRU is the result of a well-thought-out development strategy of our company, adaptation to market trends, and investments in the most modern equipment and best experts. In the ranks of IRU, among the best transport companies from across the word, we will continue the mission of maintaining and developing safe road transport,” he added.

With 800 employees in Poland, Latvia, Cyprus, Belarus, Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan, a fleet of 330 trucks, and over 3,000 clients across Europe and the Commonwealth of Independent States, Intertransauto also offers consultancy services in transport, secure fastening and customs law.

Additionally, Intertransauto’s managers are certified by IRU in safe vehicle loading and cargo securing. Its drivers undergo annual training and do not start driving Intertransauto vehicles before passing the company’s own driver exam.
