The digital version of the IRU Charter 75 is now available in six languages and can be signed online. Each signature reinforces road transport’s commitment to fulfill its critical role during crises.
Road transport is the lifeline of economies and communities. This is never more true than in times of crisis.
In the face of global challenges like the pandemic, or regional conflicts and natural disasters, such as the recent earthquake in Türkiye and Syria, road transport has consistently stepped up to aid affected people and regions.
Focusing on the sector’s response to these crises, the IRU Charter 75 reinforces the road transport community’s commitment to help rescue people, rebuild shattered communities, and make mobility networks and supply chains more resilient and better able to withstand future shocks.
The digital version of the IRU Charter 75 is now available in Arabic, Chinese, English, Spanish, Turkish and Russian.
Adopted by IRU members recently as part of the organisation’s 75th anniversary, the Charter has already been signed by many from the road transport sector itself, as well as governments, international bodies and NGOs.
Signing the IRU Charter 75 is a pledge to help rescue, rebuild and build resilience wherever and whenever we can.
