IRU, the world road transport organisation, welcomes integrated supply chain leader Sesé as its newest member in a shared effort to advance sustainability, efficiency and innovation.
Founded in 1965, Sesé provides a wide range of transport, logistics and industrial services. Its road transport operations include full and part load, intermodal, last mile, special transport, and finished vehicle delivery.
As part of its commitment to generating a positive impact, contributing to the decarbonisation of road freight is a key priority for Sesé. It has introduced duo and giga trailers as well as renewable fuels that reduce net CO2 emissions per trip by up to 90%. Sesé renews its entire fleet every three years, with 96% of its vehicles now equipped with Euro VI engines.
The company also leverages cutting-edge technology and proprietary digital tools, such as its control tower and transport management system, to maximise route efficiency.
IRU Secretary General Umberto de Pretto said, “Sesé’s dedication to efficiency, digitalisation and sustainability is in lockstep with IRU’s vision and mission. We are delighted to welcome Sesé into the IRU family and look forward to advancing the road transport sector together.”
Sesé Managing Director of Transport Division Carlos Giner said, “Sesé's goal is to transform the supply chain of the future through innovation and sustainability. Our membership of IRU will enable us to collaborate with its members to expand our capacity to achieve this, increasing the scope of our proposals and learning from the best practices of other leading players.”
Headquartered in Zaragoza, Spain, Sesé employs more than 14,700 people across 18 countries in Europe, the Americas, Africa and Asia.
