IRU joins transport and industry leaders at third Eurasian Week

IRU was in Yerevan this week to attend Eurasian Week 2018, the largest business gathering in the Eurasian Economic Union.

IRU Vice-President Radu Dinescu and IRU lead in Eurasia, Dmitry Cheltsov, joined government and transport leaders at panel session on strengthening regional collaboration between manufacturers and transport.

Participants questioned how greater regional economic integration will impact the transport sector, and examined whether costs will be reduced as a result. They also looked at the mechanisms available to finance transport infrastructure projects. 

In a separate meeting, IRU officials met with H.E. Mr Emil Kaikiyev, Member of the Board – and Minister in charge of Energy and Infrastructure of the Eurasian Economic Commission, who will lead the EEC delegation at the IRU World Congress and Ministerial Dialogue in Muscat, Oman, 6-8 November. 

Under the slogan The Eurasian Economic Union – Space for Businesses, the third annual forum of Eurasian Week took place from 22 – 24 October.
