How far along is the road freight sector on its journey to net-zero? We shared exclusive insights from the IRU Green Compact survey during our latest webinar with leading players from the sector, revealing how companies are navigating challenges and reshaping investment strategies and operations.
How are companies decarbonising? What are the main roadblocks? How is the shift impacting operations? How central is decarbonisation to investment plans? Are companies still investing in diesel vehicles?
The IRU Green Compact survey tracks the decarbonisation of road freight at the company level. The survey captured road transport operator perspectives in Australia, Central Asia, Europe, Mexico and Türkiye, presenting and analysing operational and cultural insights into the challenges and opportunities of decarbonisation.
We explored some of its key findings during our latest webinar with our members CEVA Logistics and Edenred and strategic partner DLL.
The speakers were:
- Alexander Sneep (Global Program Manager eMobility, DLL)
- Arnaud Bouffard (Director - Project European Clean Transport Network, CEVA Logistics)
- Richard Röhr (Managing Director Commercial Road Transportation EMEA, Edenred)
- Romain Mouton (Mobility & Logistics Senior Research Manager, IRU)
- Sandra Villeminot (Global Head of Sustainability Ground & Rail, CEVA Logistics)
- Vincent Erard (Senior Strategy & Development Director, IRU – moderator)
We will shortly publish an IRU Intelligence Briefing on the survey’s main findings. It will provide on-the-ground insights into decarbonisation efforts, current actions, challenges, best practices, and more. Click here to be notified when it’s released.
