12 Feb 2019

The Nepal Automobiles’ Association (NASA-Nepal) has become the latest IRU member, widening IRU’s reach in the Bangladesh, Bhutan, India, Nepal (BBIN) region.

Established in 2008, NASA-Nepal is one of the biggest motorist organisations in Nepal, dedicated to the development and management of motor sports.

Responsible for driving tourism as well as promoting safer transport and sustainable mobility, NASA-Nepal works in close partnership with the Government of Nepal on all road transport-related matters, and regularly organises awareness-raising programmes regarding key transport issues in collaboration with professional and business organisations, development agencies and related stakeholders.

NASA-Nepal has been engaged in a number of cross border connectivity activities across the BBIN region, as well as supporting the International Driving Permit and the Carnet de Passage
