IRU monitoring Coronavirus (COVID-19)

6 Feb 2020 · People, Corporate

The recent outbreak of Coronavirus has caused widespread concern in terms of its health impact on those people infected and the disruption it has brought to people’s lives as well as the wider economy.

IRU has been monitoring the situation closely and has adopted precautionary measures for its offices in China to ensure safe working conditions for its staff, while minimising the impact on our members.

We are aware of the trade, tourism and transportation-related difficulties linked to Novel Coronavirus and the impact border closures are having on these industries. IRU will continue to track the situation and keep our members informed of the relevant steps to be taken as the situation evolves.

We encourage our members and partners to follow WHO recommendations and take appropriate precautions to make sure that their own employees and members remain safe.
