TIR-EPD – the web-based application for submitting TIR pre-declarations – has now expanded to thirty three countries, with the recent addition of Austria.
The result of close cooperation with the Austrian Customs Administration and with support from IRU member association, AISÖ, the adoption of TIR-EPD will will enable any TIR transport operator, entering and leaving Austria, to submit electronic cargo information to Austrian customs authorities. Operators using TIR-EPD benefit from being able to send the data on TIR movements to multiple countries of the itinerary in one click. TIR-EPD is available in eighteen national languages and is completely free of charge.
