The 4,300-square-metre logistics hub expands CEVA’s capacity along China–Central Asia–Caucasus–Europe transport corridors, serving as a consolidation point for less-than-truckload (LTL) shipments and TIR solutions.
IRU member CEVA Logistics has officially inaugurated its new automated distribution centre in Alashankou, China.
Located within the Alashankou Free Trade Zone, the facility is situated in Northwest China, just 15 minutes from the Kazakhstan–China border.
It leverages streamlined local customs procedures, enabling CEVA to complete cargo consolidation and onward transit in just 6 to 12 hours. This speed allows for the efficient movement of goods from Chinese manufacturing centres directly into the heart of Central Asia.
Compared to conventional road transport, the TIR model paired with the new centre reduces transit time by nearly 30% and cuts costs by 15% on average.
The site uses electric autonomous forklifts to manage highly automated inbound and outbound flows, while a centralised control platform synchronises order management with real-time customs status.
