The dean of logistics and supply chains

As the Dean of the College of International Transport and Logistics at the Arab Academy for Science, Technology and Maritime Transport, I have nearly 20 years of experience in the industry.

My doctorate is in supply chain finance, from England’s University of Huddersfield, and my current research interests are logistics, supply chain financial management, and supply chain performance.

I’m also a certified trainer and instructor under both IRU and the International Federation of Freight Forwarders Associations.

I have participated in numerous consultancy projects in logistics for Egypt, the Arab region, and the European Union.

I designed the reward system for several companies in the food retail industry. I also
developed a performance system for managing supply chain operations and implemented it in the fast-moving consumer goods sector.

In Egypt, I helped to design and implement logistics and financial systems for supplying commodities to the Egyptian food subsidy system.

One of my proudest achievements is being a steering committee member and coordinator for the Gameeti project, a commodities franchise project that offered job opportunities to over 14,000 young Egyptians.
