Valuing human capital: leading a Senegalese hydrocarbon transport company

As the Director of Transport Ibrahima Sakho, I greatly value human capital. We put a lot of emphasis on training and further developing drivers’ skill levels.

The management team at Transports Ibrahima Sakho has the experience and expertise needed to overcome all the challenges of transporting hydrocarbons.

We share the transport market for TOTAL Senegal’s hydrocarbon products with six other companies, out of which we have the second biggest fleet.

To mitigate risks in transporting dangerous goods, we provide theoretical and practical training to all our employees. Our trainers are highly skilled and capable of providing training on defensive driving, good practices and safety.

Our teams attend training centres, both in Senegal and abroad to countries such France and Tunisia, that are specialised in hydrocarbon transport.

All our trucks are geolocated. We have a tracking room to track trucks in real-time, which analyses defensive driving, routes, and driving and rest times.
