Promoting global transport cooperation and constructing a safe, convenient, efficient, green, economical, inclusive and resilient sustainable transport system is an inherent requirement of the implementation of the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development and an important way to promote the building of a community with a shared future for mankind.
Forum 2024 will focus on sustainable transport cooperation, with the theme of "Sustainable Transport: Logistics Connecting the World".
IRU Secretary General Umberto de Pretto will be part of the opening ceremony and will moderate Session 1 on Wednesday 25 September from 14:00 to 15:30: "Connectivity – Strengthening Cooperation in Governance and Emergency Response, and Building Resilient International Logistics and Supply Chains".
On Thursday 26 September from 10:50-12:20, Umberto de Pretto will also speak at thematic session 4 on “Eco-sound development: promoting new energy development and accelerating green and low-carbon transition of global transport”.
