Eurasian Economic Forum

Yerevan | IRU participation

The III Eurasian Economic Forum will be held from 30 September to 1 October 2024 in Yerevan, Armenia. The forum coincides with a meeting of the Eurasian Intergovernmental Council, featuring the heads of governments of the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU) member states and observer states. This event is organised under the framework of Armenia's chairmanship of the EAEU in 2024.

This year’s forum is also special as it marks the 10th anniversary of the signing of the Treaty on the Eurasian Economic Union. In connection with this milestone, the main theme of the event is, 10 Years of the EAEU: Perspectives and Priorities.

The forum's business programme will include approximately 30 events, addressing key integration issues within the EAEU. The forum aims to attract participation from business leaders across large, medium and small sectors in member states and third countries, as well as top officials, government representatives from EAEU nations, and heads of governments from third-party countries. Representatives from international organisations, academia and educational institutions with an interest in fostering cooperation within the Union will also be in attendance.

On 30 September, IRU General Delegate to the IRU Permanent Delegation to Eurasia Vadim Zakharenko will be speaking on the panel on “Transport connectivity of Eurasia: a vision of the future”, from 14:45 to 16:15, as well as the “Business Dialogue EAEU – Iran: Roundtable for Industrial, Transport and Logistics Companies”, from 16:30 to 18:30.
