Connecting worlds: my mission to transform transport for the better

I am a Saint-Benoît French High School graduate with a bachelor’s degree in Sociology from Galatasaray University, one of Türkiye’s most prestigious universities.

I have co-authored a 450-page book, have contributed to scholarly articles, and hold a master’s degree in International Security from the Department of War Studies at King’s College London, enhancing my expertise in international and global affairs.

My early professional experience includes internships at the Foreign Economic Relations Board of Türkiye (DEİK) and TÜSİAD’s EU-Brussels Representation, where I actively engaged in EU-related affairs. Applying my academic research and EU-focused internship experience at the International Transporters’ Association of Türkiye (UND) and BSEC-URTA has significantly enhanced my ability to put theory into practice.

With over two years of experience in EU affairs at UND and one and a half years at the International Secretariat of BSEC-URTA, I have built strong expertise in EU–Türkiye–BSEC relations in transport, focusing on regional connectivity and global supply chain dynamics.

I currently serve as EU Institutions Relations Unit Manager at UND, fostering structured dialogue and strategic cooperation with EU institutions, monitoring legislation and policy developments, and overseeing initiatives linked to the European Green Deal, sustainable logistics, and digital transformation of transport systems.

I also monitor trends in multimodal logistics, decarbonisation and infrastructure, supporting evidence-based policy and project work and covering key regional and global initiatives.

At BSEC-URTA, I contribute to strengthening EU cooperation through joint initiatives and project development, assessing policy implications, identifying collaboration opportunities, and improving transport efficiency, sustainability, and resilience across the region.

As a young woman in a predominantly male sector, I am passionate about advancing regional connectivity, sustainability, inclusivity, and innovation in logistics and transport. I actively contribute to the Women’s Working Group in transport at both UND and BSEC-URTA to promote gender equality and women’s participation.

Driven by a results-oriented and collaborative mindset, I aim to bridge policy, industry and innovation while strengthening the role of women in transport to build a greener, more efficient, and better-connected transport ecosystem regionally and globally.
