MyCorridor is a smart mobility project looking into providing the tourist, businessperson, or traveler with alternatives for replacing their private car with combined shared vehicles and multi-modal transport solutions. The project is part of the Mobility as a Service (MaaS) concept: placing mobile app users at the core of transport services, offering them tailor-made mobility solutions based on their individual needs.
MyCorridor deploys MaaS in a series of pilot studies along six EU ‘corridors’. These studies will provide technical data and user experience feedback to elucidate the barriers and opportunities for MaaS deployment. These pilot studies will ultimately see how smart mobility providers, innovators, and aggregators can best make use of emerging business models based on deployment of MaaS. MyCorridor contributes to sustainable urban and intercity transport through the promotion of user-friendly access (ITS and mobile apps) and integrated functionality (MaaS) as means for affordable alternative modes of transit.
MyCorridor tasks will be undertaken by a wide swath of key actors and stakeholders, namely 2 key industrial partners, seven dynamic SMEs in the mobility market, a mobility agency, an ITS association, 4 research faculties/companies, 1 multinational legal firm with specialisation in novel mobility scheme structuring (OC) and IRU Projects which will act as the liaison to MaaS Alliance.

IRU's role
IRU is taking the lead on communication and disseminations for MyCorridor, including updates through their website and through social media. IRU will promote our members’ taxi and bus services to developers and providers of MaaS-enabled mobile apps. IRU will focus in particular on platform accessibility, fair competition among transport modalities, and the quality of services provided.
Project results
The expected outcomes of the MyCorridor project include contributions to the following:
MyCorridor estimates that the pan-European adoption of MaaS will have significant positive impacts on the affordability, comfort, and eco-friendliness of urban and intercity travel. The use of ‘mobility subscriptions’ and ‘mobility tokens’ – in comparison traditional tickets – can result in 20% less cost to mobility consumers, 10x faster overall transit time, and 75% less total greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions.
