The second edition of the UNCTAD Global Supply Chain Forum will take place in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, from 29 November to 1 December 2026.
IRU Secretary General Habib Turki will participate in the panel titled "Industry Perspectives: Supply Chain Disruptions” on 30 November, from 15:00 to 16:30.
This panel brings together leading voices from across the industry – shippers, freight forwarders, operators and transport workers – to share how each stakeholder group is managing risk, adapting operations, and building resilience.
Discussion will focus on:
- How shippers, freight forwarders, operators and transport workers are adapting to increasingly frequent disruptions
- Lessons learned from recent crises and how to translate them into longer-term resilience strategies
- The role of international cooperation, capacity-building and investment in strengthening developing countries' preparedness and integration into global value chains
- Key policy priorities for governments, from an industry perspective
