Advancing Connectivity for Sustainable Development in the SPECA Region
The 2026 SPECA Economic Forum is organised under the UN Special Programme for the Economies of Central Asia (SPECA), jointly serviced by ESCAP and UNECE.
The Forum brings together government delegations, international organisations and development partners to advance connectivity for sustainable development across the SPECA region, covering transport, trade, digital connectivity, SME development and infrastructure financing.

The session will examine the development of efficient, resilient and sustainable transport systems, including multimodal corridors, the digitalisation of transport services, border-crossing facilitation and the region’s role as a bridge between Asia and Europe.
IRU will present recent eTIR and eCMR developments.
