59th annual meeting of the Asian Development Bank

Samarkand | IRU participation | Invitation only

The seminar on "Pan-Asian Corridors – Driving Resilient Connectivity and Economic Competitiveness" is part of the 59th annual meeting of the Asian Development Bank.

It will explore how regional corridors such as CAREC, GMS and SASEC can evolve into pan-Asian economic corridors, improving cross-border efficiency, policy harmonisation, and multimodal transport systems. It will examine strategies to strengthen economic competitiveness through industrial infrastructure, improved supply chains, and the movement of goods, people, and capital. It will also highlight the sustainability benefits of climate-resilient infrastructure and efficiency gains from digitalization.

Speakers will discuss the importance of mobilising private-sector capital and how operations – through public-private partnerships, blended finance, and innovative instruments – can support stronger connectivity, partnerships and deeper regional integration.

IRU TIR and Transit Director Tatiana Rey-Bellet will participate in the discussion.
