TIR-EPD Now Supports ENS Submission to ICS2
IRU has launched a new paid feature in the TIR-EPD application, allowing carriers to submit Entry Summary Declarations (ENS) directly to the EU’s Import Control System 2 (ICS2). This supports compliance with EU customs requirements for goods entering or re-entering the Union.
ENS can currently be submitted only together with an EPD. To use the service, carriers must purchase ENS units, which function similarly to GDA or Belarus EPD units. Each unit allows one submission of ENS declarations per EPD, regardless of the number of consignments or ENS declarations included. Amendments or duplicate submissions require an additional unit.
For reference, see the European Commission guidance document listing the countries where ENS is required and the systems used to submit safety and security data.
