USMCA under review: what are the challenges for national road freight?

Cancun | IRU event

This year, IRU member CANACAR will take its 2025 National Convention to another level, welcoming all its affiliated carriers from 1 to 5 October at a new venue: Ava Resort Cancún, which promises to be an unforgettable experience.

Over five days, hundreds of carriers from across the country will be able to interact with officials and opinion leaders, generating a synergy of experiences, ideas, and strategies that will define the future of freight transport, a sector that drives Mexico's economy.

IRU will organise a panel of experts on 2 October, from 11:40 to 12:45, titled "USMCA under review: what are the challenges for national road freight?”

Cross-border trucking operations face increased operational and regulatory challenges in North America, from tariffs and trade negotiations to security issues. The North American Transportation Forum (NATF) panel at CANACAR’s 2025 National Convention will address these concerns and what industry leaders are doing to facilitate regional trucking operations.

IRU Senior Adviser for the Americas Martin Rojas will lead the discussion.
