Transport in the EU and US: Decarbonisation challenges in the mirror

Brussels | IRU meetings | Invitation only

This dialogue with MEPs is a closed-door, invitation-only event on decarbonisation challenges facing the road transport industry. It will take place in the European Parliament in Brussels on 28 November 2023, from 13:00 to 14:30.

We will bring to the table representatives of the American Trucking Associations to reflect on the challenges and solutions for the greening of transport on the two continents.

The Chairman of ATA and co-president of Boyle Transportation, Andrew Boyle, as well the CEO of ATA, Chris Spear, and the Senior Vice-President of ATA, Bob Costello, will present the American perspective on CO2 standards for trucks, challenges and the way forward. They will also join the roundtable discussion with Members of the European Parliament.

Considering the EU legislative proposal on count emissions, the discussion will also tackle how greenhouse gas emissions are measured as a practical tool to promote decarbonisation in the EU and compare it to the situation in the United States.
