According to Silvia Avilés, director of TIS, “Seville will once again become the world capital of tourism innovation. This next edition will be a revulsive to facilitate the tools that help us to improve our processes, face the current challenges of management and promotion, as well as to share success stories and practical initiatives of innovation and sustainability in the tourism industry with a common vector such as technology as a facilitating lever."

More than 400 international experts speaking at the Tourism Innovation Global Summit

TIS2024 will host once again the Tourism Innovation Global Summit, which will bring together more than 400 experts and leaders from the tourism sector from all over the world who will share their vision, success stories and trends in more than 150 sessions.

The conference will gather eight vertical forums dedicated to each segment of the tourism industry: Destinations, Hospitality, Travel Agencies, TTOOs, Business Travel, MICE, Transport, Activities and Culture and Leisure.

China, Guest Country Partner 2024

After Portugal, France, the United Kingdom and Mexico, this year China will be Guest Country Partner at TIS2024, to discover and understand Chinese tourists, how Asian markets work and learn from them. In this regard, the director of TIS, Silvia Avilés, also states that “China is a very important market for us. We want to know how they are innovating there, what travellers are asking for, and how they are communicating in terms of technology and marketing, to understand how to enter Asian markets most effectively and differentially possible. European companies that want to open or attract the Chinese market must understand how all this is being done there and how it is impacting to attract this type of tourism."

TIS2024 will also offer several networking activities to foster the creation of synergies and knowledge transfer. The Leadership Summit, a lunch with industry leaders to establish collaborations; the Tourism Innovation Awards 2024, which will recognise organisations that are leading the way in digitalisation and sustainability in tourism; and the Touristech Startup Fest, which will allow emerging talent to present their projects to investors and leading companies.
