IRU's Secretary General, Umberto de Pretto will participate in the International Road Federation World Road Meeting on 15 November 2017. Speaking as part of a panel discussion on “Transforming Transportation and Mobility”, Mr de Pretto will present IRU's initiatives to prepare the road transport industry for the future, through digitalisation, innovation and advocacy.
The session will be followed by a press conference on India`s accession to the TIR Convention, which is a milestone for the expansion of the global customs transit system to new member countries, signalling a triumph for trade and connectivity in the region.
