This conference aims to highlight the importance of effective industry and law enforcement engagement.
The conference, organised by the National Crime Agency, will address the importance of the industry in developing the prevention strategy around serious and organised crime across all European borders as well as listen to the industry to understand how criminality impacts legitimate business and to develop law enforcement activity to minimise the impact.
Experts will highlight and discuss prevention methods undertaken (alerts, QR codes, social media messaging) and try to understand from the industry what is effective and why. This will direct further engagement that is mutually beneficial.
Finally, the work being undertaken across Europe will be highlighted, with a view to joining activities. This will build on established engagement across countries, including the Netherlands, Ireland, Latvia, Lithuania, the UK, Sweden, Denmark, Norway, Finland, and Belgium.
IRU President Radu Dinescu and Director EU Advocacy & General Delegate Raluca Marian, as well as IRU member RHA, will speak at the session "UNTRR, IRU and RHA an industry perspective", from 10:15 to 10:45.
