Full picture: from driver and manager to enforcer

I started my career in transport as a London bus driver in 2001, working my way through to operational management in a coach company, before moving into enforcement and then policy roles for the Driver and Vehicle Standards Agency. I joined the Confederation of Passenger Transport (CPT) in 2022, a milestone in my career.

I am passionate about the bus and coach sector. My career has allowed me to establish an excellent knowledge of all things operation. I have a well-rounded view, from driver to operational manager through to enforcement and compliance.

Protecting, improving and sustaining the bus and coach sector are some of my core personal agendas. I continually strive to promote them to all stakeholders, enabling everyone to have a balanced and forward look.

As the (national) Operations Manager, I love being hands-on to assist CPT members with both their day-to-day and longer-term needs. It is an absolute privilege to be relied upon in this capacity.

More widely, I embrace the role of being the CPT key contact with IRU, working with international colleagues to collaboratively help our industry is extremely important.

The transport sector, in every organisation and at every level, is one amazing and huge team. It's great to be a part of it.
