Lifelong commitment to road transport in Kazakhstan and beyond

I was born in Kazakhstan in 1982 and have over 20 years of experience in the transport sector.

I graduated from the Kazakh University of Traffic Ways in 2006 and received my master’s degree in State and Municipal Administration from the Russian Academy of National Economy and Public Administration.

Since 2004, I’ve held various positions in the Transport Control Committee of the Ministry of Transport and Communications of the Republic of Kazakhstan, including as Vice-Chairman (2010-2013) and Chairman (2013-2014).

As the Chairman of the Transport Committee of the Ministry of Investment and
Development from 2014 to 2019, I implemented transport policies to improve transport safety and develop infrastructure, including roads, railways and ports. 

Since December 2019, I’ve been the Secretary General of the Permanent Secretariat of the TRACECA Intergovernmental Commission. TRACECA stands for “Transport Corridor Europe-Caucasus-Asia.

Prior to serving as TRACECA’s Secretary General, I was the President of the Association of Road Builders of Kazakhstan and the Independent Director of the Board of Directors of KazAvtoZhol NC JSC.
