The IRU Green Compact Survey Report examines the state of commercial road transport decarbonisation and, at its core, reports what transport operators themselves are experiencing. The 2026 report is the result of close collaboration between IRU and Trimble's Transport & Logistics business segment, and carries the second edition of the annual Green Compact survey, gathering the views of road freight operators in Western Europe, Eastern Europe and Australia. Where other chapters rely on modelling and estimates, the survey tracks what operators have already changed, what they plan to invest in over the next five years, and what is holding them back.
