IRU joined the Silk Road Think Tank Network (SiLKS) today, driving peaceful cooperation and strategic knowledge-sharing for the realisation of Belt & Road ambitions and ultimately, sustainable development for the region.

By becoming a partner of the network, IRU now has access to the SiLKS global membership base for the promotion of the interests of road transport and TIR in China and beyond.

Founded as an international network in 2015, SiLKS comprises think tanks, international organisations and relevant institutions, and was proposed jointly by the Development Research Centre of the State Council of China and the Turkish Centre for International Relations and Sustainable Development. It currently has 47 members and partners.
