IRU 3i
The IRU, its national member associations and their members - the transport operators - are open for action alliances with our commercial and governmental partners. The IRU's key priorities for the early part of the 21st Century include implementation of Sustainable Development policies by transport operators and the monitoring of progress in this area.The 3 "i" approach, the most robust and cost-effective basis for Sustainable Development, is described in the IRU Report "Industry as a partner for sustainable development: Road Transport" (PDF Format), which has been endorsed by the United Nations Environmental Programme (UNEP).
