The legal basis of the TIR system is the UNECE TIR Convention, 1975. This is available in the TIR Handbook, which can be downloaded in a selection of languages from the UNECE website. |

How to Fill in a TIR Carnet Brochure

The IRU has published a brochure, available in various languages electronically and in English and Russian in hard copy, which explains how the TIR Carnet should be filled in by each of the actors involved.
