Excellencies, Ladies and Gentlemen, Dear friends

It is an honor for Zurich to be here with you as a demonstration of its dedication and commitment to the IRU and its Members as true partners!

The insurance world has gone through a very difficult time in 2005 with heavy storms and hurricanes. We experienced that “change happens”! And when it does, you better hope to be able to count on your true partners to adjust and adapt to those changes.

Let me draw your attention to the screens to better explain through images how important this is to all of us.

Change happens! And in an increasingly globalised and ever more competitive world, change, even major change happens daily in your business!

Change happens! But partnership, true partnership, is constant!!

Change happens…and we look forward to being there with you, in partnership, when it does!

The IRU slogan captures the essence of this perfectly. Indeed, to achieve our common goals, we must continue, "Working together for a better future".
