György Wàberer The Hungarocamion-Volán Tefu Group is the largest provider of logistical services in Hungary. The group consists of the most important companies in the domestic transportation, forwarding, customs agency and logistics markets. Warehouse capacity: almost 70,000 m2 Connections between the group and its environment: We at the Hungarocamion- Volán Tefu Group of Companies believe in the exceptional importance of activities associated with environmental protection, healthcare and safety at work. Every year we lay greater and greater emphasis on the training and healthcare of our employees and on the improvement, simplification and increased user-friendliness of our corporate processes. In addition to the requirement of cost-efficiency, our fleet management is also shaped by ergonomic and safety technology criteria. Our entire fleet of vehicles is fitted with satellite tracking systems and continuous communication is also available to assist drivers with route information and in emergencies. We have had significant accomplishments in the field of security over the last few years: Through deliberate risk management, the use of vehicles providing a maximum of driving and resting comfort and the continuous training of our employees we have managed to reduce the annual number of cases of damage (Figure 1) and accidents (Figure 2).
Emission of pollutants By the end of 2003, 73% of the international fleet of the Hungarocamion- Volán Tefu Group shall be compliant with the Euro 3 standard, while the entire international fleet of transport vehicles shall have Euro 3 certificates by 2004 in compliance with the applicable provisions of the European Union.
