Masahiko Nakano "Invitation to Yokahama Japan 2004" Chairman Nakano’s Invitation Speech to the World ConventionCongress in Yokohama given at the closing ceremony Hello, Mmy name is Nakano just introduced. By On behalf of the representing Japan Trucking Association, it is my great pleasure to inform you that the 29th IRU World ConventionCongress will be held in Yokohama, Japan, two years time from now, or in the year of in 2004, and I wish to have look forward to seeing a great number of you in attendance there. The city of Yokohama, where the Japan ConventionCongress will be held, is an international city, conveniently located adjacent to Metropolitan Tokyo, and it has the second largest population in Japan. The World Cup Football Games, which have just started yesterday, or on May 31, which isare co-sponsored by Japan and Korea. The final match will be held in Yokohama, here in Japan. We would appreciate it very much if cordially invite every one of you would to watch these games with the greatest of interest. We have already been begun working to on the prepareation for this world conventionCongress, having a with strong support from the Japanese government. We will be keepingmaintain close contact with the headquarters of IRU in the meantime. As a closing remark of In concluding my speech, I wish and hope that the World ConventionCongress in Yokohama, the its first occasion time in East Asia, will be the one that is both meaningful and fruitful.
