"1000^th IRU Academy Diploma Award winner"

In 2000, the IRU Academy was launched as a proactive road transport industry initiative to improve and harmonise training standards, relying on IRU’s international strong network of national road transport associations under the auspices of the IRU. Supported by a major financial and intellectual investment and drawing on the expertise of a vast international pool of road transport experts, the IRU Academy is today, 2 years after its inception, recognised by the European Commission, the World Bank, the European Transport Workers Federation, the European Conference of Ministers of Transport and increasingly by the business community. 

18 Road Transport Training Centres have received the coveted IRU Academy Accreditation. Individuals trained in these Accredited Training Institutes and who pass the examination will gain immediate international recognition as holders of an IRU Academy Diploma.

1-1/2 years after the first issuance of this IRU Academy Diploma to an ASMAP graduated Russian operator, the IRU is pleased to present to Mr Vladimir Startsev the 1000th IRU Academy Diploma. Mr. Startsev received training for the CPC for Operators from the ASMAP Accredited Training Institute in Russia and passed the required examination in accordance with the IRU Academy standards.
