1. How to obtain a ".travel" address?

Obtaining a .travel address is a two-step process. First, you need to become authenticated by one of the approved .travel authentication providers. The International Road Transport Union (IRU) provides this service to bus, coach and taxi companies – members of an IRU member association – free of charge.

Step 1. The authentication process will verify that your company is eligible for the .travel domain name. Eligibility is based upon belonging to one of twenty industry sectors comprising the travel and tourism industry.

The authentication step will also determine which names you may apply for.

You are entitled to apply for names that contain your company name, product names or marketing slogans. After you complete the authentication step, a Unique Identifying Number (UIN) will be issued to you.

Step 2. You can register your names with , the preferred .travel registrar for IRU members for 5% discount. Visit and select the .travel logo. Select the button for "Register" and enter your 16-digit UIN number.

All of the names you have been approved for will be displayed. You can then select which names you want to register and proceed with the registration process.

2. How to do migration from e.g. ".org" and ".com" to ".travel"?

The migration from your existing web site to .travel will be a gradual process. You may continue to use both your old and new addresses in parallel.

Please note that your new address will not receive any traffic until you start using it or take steps to inform the search engines that it exists.

3. How to create a new ".travel" web site?

4. How to create a “.travel” e-mail address?

After registering your .travel address, you will receive an email confirmation.

Return to http://www.encirca.com/ and select the "MyAccount" link at the top of the page.
From the left-side menu, select "DNS Login".
Login to your account to view your domains.
Select the link for the domain you wish to work with. You will see the list of options for your domain. The two you will care most about are "MailForwards" and "WebForwards".
To add email forwarding addresses for your domain, select the link for "MailForwards". You may create as many email forwarding addresses as you want for your business, such as: "sales", "support" and one for all of your staff.

If you entered a forwarding address when you ordered your domain, you will see it listed under "Webforwards". You may change this anytime you wish by selecting the link for "Webforwards".
