Excellencies, distinguished guests, ladies and gentlemen, On behalf of Ingosstrakh Insurance Company I would like to welcome you to the XXXIst IRU World Congress. It is a great pleasure for our company to be the IRU’s partner at this World Congress, in parallel with the IRU’s 60th Anniversary. It is very symbolic that Ingosstrakh also celebrated its 60th Birthday in 2007. For 60 years the IRU has been promoting the interests of the road transport sector and managing the international cooperation in the field of goods and passenger transport in order to provide the harmonious and sustainable development of the world economy. Ingosstrakh Insurance Company was established 60 years ago to ensure the international contracts of the Soviet Union. During all of its history it has protected and supported the development of the international relations in the spheres of trade, transport and tourism. Our two organizations have been working together for more than half a century to lift the barriers to international road transport and trade in order that the transport sector can work more effectively and securely, and in so doing, drive peace and prosperity! We would like to wish all the honourable guests and delegates of the Congress fruitful work, success in their business and prosperity. In spite of the fact that our company is still young (only 60 years old) we are proud of our history.
