IRU City Trophy

The IRU City Trophy acknowledges and rewards municipal authorities around the world that implement exemplary proactive policies favouring sustainable tourism by coach. Its objective is to showcase and promote worldwide those model cities that invest in the appropriate facilities to improve access for coaches and their passengers.

By encouraging this safe and green travel alternative, such policies reduce congestion and pollution and promote tourism, while boosting local income from tourists. Cities that invest in facilities for coaches will reap economic rewards, while those that fail to do so will limit their income from tourism.

The IRU City Trophy is awarded by an international jury, composed of leaders from the tourism and travel business, international organisations, city councils and coach transport professionals.
